Mr. and Mrs. Cortez Owners and Teachers
"We want to build a music school where learning music can be fun, practical, and spiritual. We want to help unlock the gifts that are within you according to 1 Timothy 4:14." -JC

Juan studied music outside of the country in Guatemala City, Guatemala, and also took private lessons throughout his childhood, and also studied at a music institute called "Shalom Music School" in Honduras. He moved to the USA in 2008 were he studied Theology with Music Specialization at Christ For The Nations Bible College in Dallas, TX. He has done TV and Radio shows in Dallas and Guatemala City. He has also led worship for many churches, and worked with different musical teams. He specializes in Weddings, Funeral Services, and Live Band Performances. His primary instrument is Piano, but he also teaches electric and acoustic guitar, bass, voice, drums, beginner violin, ukulele, and accordion. Mr. Cortez founded Cortez Piano Lessons; AKA: Cortez Music School, back in 2010 starting from an in-home studio, eventually moving to the current Bedford location.
Kiana was born in Michigan and raised in New Mexico and has lived in Dallas since 2013. Coming from a long background of musicians, she has been a musician since she was 12, when she felt a calling to worship. She took guitar lessons and was a state champion in band and solo ensemble. She has been a part of several bands and loves to write music. She can sing, play guitar, ukulele, and piano. She is also a pastry chef and if she isn't at the school teaching you can find her in the kitchen baking!
Together they own CMS and Kingdom Cups and Desserts. They also love to go to the movies, dance, shop, travel, eat, and are avid anime, Disney, and superhero collectors. They also love their animal babies, 2 cats and 1 parrot. Their primary goal through owning the music school is to bring people closer to Jesus and to teach students how to use their gift for a greater purpose... worship!
